UPDATE 3: GTA 5 Online's Doomsday Heist DLC is live on PS4 and Xbox One.
Fans can currently update to version 1.26 on PS4. The update weighs in at 2.76GB.
UPDATE 2: GTA 5 Online's new Doomsday Heist could take upwards of 12 hours to complete.
A new report on IGN confirms that the Doomsday Heist is split into three parts and that the first act takes around four hours to finish.
The heist is said to launch alongside 15 new vehicles, and can only be accessed by purchasing a Facility.
UPDATE: GTA 5 Online developer Rockstar has posted a new teaser ahead of the Doomsday Heist release date.
The GTA Online Doomsday Heist update will launch alongside a brand new Mammoth Thruster jetpack, as well as a car that appears to take inspiration from Back to the Future.
"Get ready for the long-awaited madness of the Mammoth Thruster personal jetpack," reads a Rockstar tweet.
This was followed by: "The Impote Deluxo gives wheels up a whole new meaning."

As a special Christmas DLC bonus, Rockstar will make the Doomsday Heist available in Grand Theft Auto.
The GTA 5 Doomsday Heist has been given a December 12 release date on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
This means there's not long to wait before players can explore the inner depths of Mount Chiliad.
In fact, based on past Rockstar GTA 5 updates, the Heist should be live before 12pm UK time. Express Online has contacted Rockstar for confirmation.
The plot sees an unlikely alliance team up to save San Andreas from total annihilation.

The news comes after GTA Online gets a new update on PS4 and Xbox One.
Players can now purchase the P-996 Lazer jet, which comes with a hefty price tag.
Retailing for $6,500,000 at Warstock Cache & Carry, fans may instead be tempted to continue just taking the thing from the military base instead.
Rockstar have also released the new Transform Races content onto the Race Creator tool, meaning fans can now make their own experiences and upload them to the game.
